Brand Awareness

Building the memory that makes every other marketing rupee work harder.

Most of your market is not buying today. They will buy in six months, or two years, and when they do they will consider the brands they already recognise. Awareness work is what puts you on that list - and it is the reason a brand with strong recognition converts paid traffic more cheaply than a competitor nobody has heard of.

It is also the easiest budget to waste, because impressions are cheap and meaningless on their own. We plan awareness against reach and distinctiveness rather than volume - the right audience, enough frequency to be remembered, creative consistent enough to accumulate, and measurement that tracks recall rather than clicks.

What We Do

Brand awareness campaign features

Positioning, distinctive creative, reach-led media and measurement that tracks memory rather than clicks.

01

Positioning & Message Platform

A clear, defensible position and a message platform simple enough to survive being repeated for years - the foundation everything else compounds on.

02

Distinctive Brand Assets

The colours, logo treatment, typography, characters, sounds and phrases that make you recognisable in half a second, applied consistently everywhere.

03

Integrated Media Planning

Reach-led planning across digital video, social, display, audio, outdoor, print and PR, built for coverage of your category buyers rather than cheap impressions.

04

Creative Production

Brand films, video, statics and outdoor produced in-house, with adaptations for every placement so the idea survives the format change.

05

PR & Earned Media

Media relations, thought leadership and partnerships that build credibility paid media cannot buy - awareness that arrives with third-party endorsement attached.

06

Brand Lift Measurement

Brand lift studies, search volume tracking, share of voice and recall surveys - because awareness campaigns judged on click-through rate are judged on the wrong thing entirely.

Why The Brand Bee

Brand thinking with performance discipline

We run performance marketing for the same clients, so we see directly how awareness lowers acquisition cost. That keeps the brand work accountable without reducing it to a click metric.

  • A brand practice and a performance practice under one roof, so the two are planned together rather than argued about.
  • Media planned for reach and frequency against your category buyers, not for the cheapest impressions available.
  • Distinctive assets built deliberately, because consistency is what makes spend accumulate instead of evaporate.
  • In-house creative and production, from strategy through to the final cut-downs.
  • Measured on recall, search volume and share of voice - with the effect on paid efficiency tracked alongside.
Our brand awareness approach
Our Approach

How we build awareness that lasts

Decide what you want to be known for, say it distinctively, say it consistently, and measure whether it stuck.

1

Establish where you stand today - prompted and unprompted awareness, search volume and share of voice.

2

Define the position and the single message the campaign has to lodge in memory.

3

Build or sharpen the distinctive assets that make the brand recognisable without a logo.

4

Plan media for reach across your category buyers, with enough frequency to be remembered.

5

Produce creative that carries one idea consistently across every channel and format.

6

Measure lift in recall, branded search and share of voice, and track the effect on paid efficiency.

FAQs

Brand awareness, answered

It is more measurable than its reputation suggests. Brand lift studies measure recall and consideration against a control group; branded search volume is a strong proxy for how many people are actively thinking of you; share of voice tracks your presence against competitors. What you should not use is click-through rate.
Longer than performance marketing and for longer afterwards. Meaningful movement in recall usually takes two to three quarters of consistent activity. The return arrives as lower acquisition costs and higher conversion rates across every other channel, which is why it is worth measuring both together.
The widely cited research suggests roughly 60% brand and 40% activation for established consumer brands, and it is a starting point rather than a rule. Newer businesses that need revenue now reasonably skew towards activation. The failure mode we see most is spending nothing on brand for years, then wondering why acquisition costs keep climbing.
Advertising is part of it. So are PR, partnerships, content, sponsorships and the consistency of your identity across every touchpoint. Awareness is the cumulative result of a brand behaving consistently, not the output of a single campaign.
Yes, and it is measurable. Brands people recognise convert paid traffic at higher rates and command better click-through, which lowers effective cost per acquisition. Because we run both disciplines for the same clients, we can show that relationship in their own data rather than citing someone else's study.
